Sub Central is Gadsden Elementary School District 32's platform for finding, offering, and tracking substitute coverage — built to make the process simple for schools and substitutes alike.
Before Sub Central, coordinating substitute coverage meant phone calls, spreadsheets, and manual follow-up. Sub Central centralizes the whole process — a school opens a request, the right substitutes are notified automatically, and every step from request to fill is tracked in one place.
Office staff enter the date, time of day, and position needed. If they have a preferred substitute in mind, that person gets the first chance at it.
If there's no response in time — or no preference was set — the request opens to every substitute who's available that day, based on the schedule they've set for themselves.
An email and in-app notification go out the moment work is offered, with a one-tap way to accept or decline — first to respond gets the assignment.
Every offer, acceptance, decline, and cancellation is kept, so questions about how an assignment was filled always have a clear answer.
Every change a substitute makes to their own profile is recorded, the same way every request and offer is.
